- During the visit to study the monuments, we observed the existence of capillary ascents accentuated by the damage due to the floods, causing the smell of moisture, molds, very altered plaster, appearance of lime and nitrates on certain walls.
- The consequences are detrimental to the health and preservation of the monument. The humidity in the walls varies constantly according to the external conditions.
- In this case, flooding and the natural process of capillary rising expose the walls of old buildings to an accumulation of moisture which can cause the degradations described above.

- The samples are taken from the ground every 30 cm up to 120 cm on the walls and pillars of the church (points 1 and 2).
- On the soils, we noted moisture levels reaching an average moisture content (see points 3, 4, 5). In addition, we carried out the following:
- The soil is dry. The pillars are dry. Remain the sacristy and the room without ventilation on the left rising towards the heart. The wall moisture content is 90% at 30 cm and 56% at 90 cm.

- Measures of 21 July 2016:
- Castle Museum: normal rates. The HS 67 was replaced with an HS 27 better adapted to this building. Rates are normal. The smell of the basement is much less prevalent.
- Hydrometer mentions a rate of 56% perfect for the collection.

The average moisture content on the surface of the building decreased from 88.8% to 43.8%. It should also be noted that the dewatering process reduced the high point by 3 cm on average in some places.
We notice the dramatic drying of pillars and woodwork to the touch, and the appearance of salts and nitrates of the saltpeter type on the surface of the soil. This demonstrates the effectiveness of our solution.
In the first three places mentioned, our mission is finished and the drying up has given excellent results overall. The 2/3 is perfectly dry The part around the heart and the heart remain wet for reasons independent of our treatment, as shown in the attached photo. (Roof leaks.)
